There is no dust from the fire when cleaning
Details
I want to tell you of our satisfaction of the efficiency of the Pellet Fire you installed at our premises. Having seen it work at a field day I was impressed enough to take the plunge and purchase one. However we were sceptical about the heat output from such a small firebox. Previously we had a slow combustion heater, which was adequate but did not get the room warm enough on very cold nights. The pellet fire not only heats the room well but it also permeates into other rooms. We start the fire on max setting till the room is warm, then decrease gradually to the lowest setting which normally is more than adequate to maintain the heat. One other great advantage is the fact that there is no dust from the fire when cleaning. We have an insert model which requires the use of a vacuum cleaner to clean the firebox, this together with a quick wipe of the glass with a damp cloth and the job is done, no mess, no ash to dispose of. We are surprised at the lower cost of using pellets as compared to purchasing wood and also the ease of refuelling. We close by saying thank you for your friendly service and advice, we have no complaints.

Piopio Prefers Parkwood Pellet Fire
Details
The house we purchased in October 2005 had a coal and wood duel burning log fire. We found that the existing fire needed to be on by 4 pm each day to heat the home sufficiently for the evening.
We both work during the day, and weekends are spent with sport or other family activities. Spending lots of time splitting firewood and then storing it have never been great options. Coal is expensive and dirty to use. We are also aware of the emission levels/environmental issues surrounding coal and wood burners and carbon levels from fires.
We researched the Parkwood web site mid 2006 and visited Di’s Parkwood Pellet Fire going in her home.
We asked Di and Ian to come and discuss Parkwood Pellet Fires with us. With the Parkwood Pellet Fire permanently set into the van, they arrived in Piopio to explain how they worked, check out our home site and give advice on whether the Parkwood Pellet Fire would be a sound option to heat our home.
Di and Ian gave us a quote for full cost and installation of the fire – council permit included – as well as discounted price for our initial home show inquiry. We contacted Di and Ian before the winter of 2007, they obtained the permit and the Parkwood Pellet fire was duly installed – the previous years’ quote honoured.
We are thrilled with the Parkwood Pellet fire. The timer we can set to come on each morning before we get up, or to come on in the late afternoon before we get home. We don’t waste wood keeping the fire going during the day when nobody is home.
The varied settings allow the house to be heated quickly and then lowered to maintain the heat throughout the evening. The fan pushes the heat well out into the room, ensuring coverage of a large area. The heat is such that we are now making inquiries into heat transfer kits to transfer the heat into the hall and bedrooms.
We would be happy to talk to anybody, via Ian and Di, who might be contemplating buying a Parkwood Pellet Fire – it simply works!

My home is now a warm home
Details
Thank you very much for your help and service with getting my Parkwood Pellet Fire. Not only is your backup service fantastic but the pellet fire is easy to use and has made such a difference in heating my home.
I used to come home after work on a winter day to a chilly home but with being able to set the timer, I now walk into a lovely warm home. I have recently installed a heat transfer kit into my home, which pairs up beautifully with the fire, helping to keep other areas in my home warm, especially the kitchen which is at the other end of the house. I used to have a night store heater on up there to take the chill off, but with the combination of the pellet fire and heat transfer kit, I don't require this anymore. This also saves me dollars. I would recommend this solution to anyone.
Once again, thank you very much for making my home a warm home, and desirable for somebody else to purchase, as I am upgrading to another house.

We love our pellet fire!
Details
The Parkwood Pellet Fire heats our 112m² showhome in no time. Starting the fire is no problem with a simple push of the button and within a few minutes it is blazing away – anyone can do it with ease. To change settings the change in heat is instantaneous, going from hot to gentle warmth very quickly. One of the things we like best about the fire is that it is cheap and easy to run. As a showhome, we do not have the space to store lumpy ugly piles of chopped wood – nor do we have the time to chop it! We don’t have the time to chip kindling and try to start an open fire – but we still wanted to have a proper flame. The pellets are easily and tidily stored in their plastic bags, and we go through about 1 bag a week. There is no mess, the pellets are compact and clean burning and the fire itself is a breeze to clean. The Parkwood Pellet Fire has kept us warm all winter – we love our pellet fire!
